Who is on the Board?

Natasha Jordan

Tasha has had several family members with mental health issues ranging from Schizophrenia to Dementia to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). As a young carer, Tasha felt isolated, and that no-one understood what she was experiencing, she didn't tell many people, and so was not recognised or supported in her role. Tasha feels that no-one should have to feel this way and so, soon started putting her experience to good use, she has now worked in the mental health field for eleven years, and has worked in a variety of setting from supported housing schemes to inpatient wards, specialising in adolescent mental health within the voluntary sector. Natasha is also a qualified IMHA (Independent Mental Health Advocate).

He has worked with, and managed services for, young people, adults with mental health problems, adults with learning disabilities and older people as well as with people struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Since 2008 John has been Chief Executive of Taunton Association for the Homeless, Somerset's leading specialist provider of services to the single homeless. Married with two children, and living in Taunton, John hopes to be able to use his background, and his experience of charity management, to help take Caring Minds forward.

For the past fifteen years he has worked with vulnerable young people and adults, often in challenging circumstances. Married with two children, both who are thriving in school. David is an active school Governor and Trustee at Bishop Fox's school. He is sympathetic to the aims of Caring Minds due to his own childhood circumstances and hopes his experience will be beneficial in helping develop the support Caring Minds can offer young people.
